Growing up in a rural farming community, I spent my childhood living adventures vicariously through characters like Anne Shirley, Kristy Thomas and others I read about in books. The public library was only a short bike ride away and I spent many years after school wandering the stacks eager to discovery more mysteries, thrillers, horror, love, and adventure.  Adulthood has not changed me and I find myself filled with the same childhood giddiness every time I enter a library or a bookstore. 

As a lifetime lover of books, I have always dreamed of one day writing my own. I have now set out on that journey and have officially completed the first draft of my debut novel The Texture of Grass. Now on to the monumental task of editing. More to come!
